Iran-Armenia film ‘Yeva’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 28th edition of Cottbus Film Festival in Germany.
Directed by Anahid Abad, the movie is to attend the competition section of the German film event.
'Yeva’, a woman who is under prosecution in connection with her husband’s murder, faces challenges in her life, the movie synopsis read.
The 99-minute long film stars many recognized actors and actresses from Armenia such as Narine Grigoryan and Shant Hovhannisyan.
Cottbus Film Festival was first held in 1991 in the immediate post-reunification era and is regarded as the most important festival of Eastern European Cinema worldwide. The host city of Cottbus is located 120 km southeast of Berlin and is a gateway to the east. Every year, filmmakers, producers and actors from Eastern and Central Europe meet in Cottbus.
The 2018 edition of the event is slated for November 6-11.
